Students build rollercoasters for STEM project.

Amusement Park Lesson at Studebaker

Studebaker Elementary School students built a miniature amusement, complete with roller coasters and the ominous sounding “Wheel of Death” (OK, it’s a Ferris wheel, but a big one!) Check out photos of this fun exercise showing off their STEM engineering skills and understanding of Newton’s Laws of Motion. Click on the headline.

Paying it Forward at Studebaker Elementary

Fifth graders in Paula Banowetz’s class recently read the story “Pay it Forward,” about a boy named Trevor who plants a tree of kindness that branches out far and wide. For a project related to the book, one group of students decided to take action in the spirit of the assigned theme: Spread the Kindness.
